Caleb Williams set for imaging after suffering hamstring injury, per Adam Schefter

Caleb Williams’ injury in the fourth quarter against the Minnesota Vikings left Chicago Bears fans holding their collective breath, hoping that their franchise quarterback wasn’t set to be out long-term.
Judging by the sound of it — FOX’s broadcast caught Williams audibly yelling in pain — and the fact that he needed plenty of assistance to get back to the sideline, there could be reason to worry. It might not take long to know how serious the injury is, though.
According to Adam Schefter, Williams will have imaging done on his hamstring on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.
If Williams is out for any length of time, Ben Johnson will turn to Tyson Bagent, whose last start was in 2023. The Bears will want Williams back as soon as possible, though. He was the driving force behind their first NFL South title since 2018 and their first overall playoff appearance since 2020.
During a wild 59-37 Week 1 win over the Carolina Panthers, Williams was 21-of-29 for 269 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, he posted 10 carries for 65 yards and a pair of scores.
At the time of his departure against the Vikings, he was 15-of-26 for 138 yards and an interception. He also ran five times for 42 yards.
