Jaxson Dart injury worse than initally thought, per new report from NFL insider

The good news for Jaxson Dart did not last long.
Tuesday morning, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported, per sources, that the news on Dart was generally positive, with expectations that the former Ole Miss quarterback suffered a sprained MCL. Hours later, however, the news has taken a turn.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is now reporting that further testing revealed that Dart’s knee injury is worse than initially thought. Dart is now facing the possibility of needing season-ending knee surgery, per Schefter’s sources.

Dart left Monday night’s game between the New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams and did not return. The Giants turned to Jameis Winston in relief, who struggled, going just 11-of-27 passing for 111 yards with an interception in a 28-6 New York loss.
The No. 25 overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, Dart is in Year 2 of his pro career. As a rookie, he appeared in 14 games for New York, starting 12 games. He completed 63.7% of his passes at 6.7 yards per attempt, throwing for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Dart aslo ruhed 86 times as a rookie for 487 yards and 9 TDs.
