Former Georgia standout and current Las Vegas Raiders’ star tight end Brock Bowers appears to be on track to start this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts after concerns surfaced earlier in the week that he would be held out with a lingering ankle injury.
According to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz, there is “continued optimism” inside the Raiders’ building that Bowers will be able to suit up this Sunday, despite missing several days of practice earlier in the week.
After putting together a legendary rookie debut, Bowers and the Raiders were both eager to take another step in 2025, but his production has been limited a bit due to the lingering injury he suffered in Week 1 against the New England Patriots.
The 2-time Mackey Award winner has yet to miss a game for Vegas, but there were some concerns that he could be ruled out this weekend, given the missed time in practice.
Fortunately, this doesn’t appear to be the case for Week 5, which is very good news for the Raiders as they prepare to take on their AFC South opponents.
A lot can change between now and Sunday, though, so Bowers’ status will still be worth watching as kickoff inches closer over the next couple of days.
