Art Briles made an appearance on the field after the conclusion of Oklahoma’s game vs. SMU game Saturday.

Here’s a photo of him with OU offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby, who is also Briles’ son-in-law.

Oklahoma athletics director Joe Castiglione released a statement following the game.

โ€œI was just as disappointed as many of our fans when I learned of the postgame situation tonight,” Castiglione said. “It shouldnโ€™t have happened and it was my expectation it never would, based on boundaries we previously set. Iโ€™ve addressed it with the appropriate staff.โ€

Briles is the former head coach of Baylor and was fired in 2016 after investigations into the schoolโ€™s failure to handle sexual assault claims, including claims from football players.

Lebby, who is a former assistant at Baylor, was spoke about Briles’ presence after the game.

“He’s my father-in-law. That’s the grandfather of my two kids,” Lebby said in a postgame press conference. “So he was down with our entire family after the game.

Lebby took his defense a step further on Sunday, changing his profile picture on Instagram to a photo with himself and Briles on Oklahoma’s field.
