Lane Kiffin has not shied away from speaking publicly about Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M.
The Aggies signed one of the most historic recruiting classes in college football history last season, seeing 8 5-stars and 19 4-stars sign with the Aggies according to 247Sports.
On Tuesday at the SEC Spring meetings, Kiffin poked fun at Texas A&M’s NIL standing and its relationship (or as Kiffin would likely say, causality) with that historic class. This was in response to a question asking why Kiffin continues prodding Fisher to reporters.
“My SID (Sports Information Director) tells me to let it go,” Kiffin said.” But when someone says NIL has nothing to do with why someone signs with another place and they sign the best class in the history of recruiting, I struggle with that statement.”
I asked @Lane_Kiffin at SEC Spring Meetings about occasionally poking Jimbo Fisher with a cyber stick (I didn’t put it that colorfully, but you get the idea): pic.twitter.com/7rKDmJGXIb

Kiffin also made sure to explain nothing between coaches is contentious at the SEC Spring meetings, saying “it’s not like that in there.”
That said, Kiffin said it’s not contentious (or what have you) in the coaches room at SEC Spring Meetings: pic.twitter.com/HFjiDb5mwK
