No. 14 Ole Miss has a huge home game on tap Saturday, as No. 7 Kentucky visits Oxford.

And the Rebels will be facing a team that gets one of its best players back this week.

Wildcats running back Chris Rodriguez was suspended for the first 4 games of the season but will return Saturday.

“Obviously that’s huge for them,” said Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin of Rodriguez during the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday. “Getting a guy fresh who has played that position a lot. … It’s very challenging. We’re going to have to play the run a lot better than we did last week.”

Rodriguez, a 5-11, 224-pound senior, rushed for 1,379 yards and 9 touchdowns a year ago.

In his absence, however, Kentucky’s passing game has picked up the slack thanks to the play of senior quarterback Will Levis.

“I think he’s really accurate,” said Kiffin of Levis. “… He moves around to get himself out of trouble. He looks like a really composed veteran quarterback.”

Kiffin was also asked Wednesday about a Kentucky defender that he’s quite familiar with.

Wildcats linebacker Jacquez Jones started his career at Ole Miss before transferring to Kentucky.

“Jacquez played really well when he was here and has gotten a lot better,” Kiffin said. “We’re going to have our hands full.”

Jones piled up 86 tackles for Kentucky a year ago and already has 26 tackles and a sack through 4 games this year.

The Rebels and Wildcats face off on ESPN at noon (ET) on Saturday. Ole Miss is currently a 6.5-point favorite.
