Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral was likely seeing stars when he got up from this hit.

On a fourth down play in the second quarter at the Louisville 42-yard-line, Corral pulled down the ball and scrambled for the first down. The quarterback then committed to sliding past the first down marker giving himself up, and Louisville defender Monty Montgomery obliterated him in a helmet-to-helmet hit.

You can see Corral’s head and neck buckle backwards and hit the ground.

Jack Fagot was originally called for the targeting penalty; however, once the officials reviewed the play, Montgomery was the one called for targeting and was ejected.

Corral has gotten off to a nice start in this game. Corral is 8-of-13 for 156 yards. He also added a rushing touchdown following the targeting hit.
