After taking a look around, Cedrick Beavers has reaffirmed his commitment to Ole Miss.

Beavers, a highly-rated JUCO defensive back, verbally pledged to Lane Kiffin’s program in August. This past weekend, he took an official visit to Arkansas and was offered a scholarship to play for Sam Pittman’s program.

Just over a week from the start of the Early Signing Period, Beavers is shutting things down. He took to X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday.

“First off, I would like to thank God for blessing me and putting me in the position I’m in,” Beavers wrote in a posted note. “I would also like to thank Ole Miss football staff for giving me the chance to play the game I love in my home state. With that being said, after a talk with my family and friends I am 100% closing my recruitment and will be taking my academics and talent to The University of Mississippi”

Out of Jones College, Beavers is rated 4-stars and No. 4 overall JUCO prospect by the 247Sports Composite. He played in 18 games for Jones, recording 63 tackles with 1.5 TFL and 13 passes defended, including 4 interceptions, over the past 2 seasons.
