Tyrrell Pigrome is reportedly looking for his fourth team as his college football career enters Year 7. On3 is reporting that Pigrome, a former 3-star quarterback from Pinson, Alabama, is back in the NCAA transfer portal.

Pigrome began his career at Maryland in 2016, playing in 11 games. He redshirted in 2017 after suffering an injury in the season-opener, but returned to the field for the Terrapins in 2018 and ’19, appearing in 22 games over those 2 seasons.

Pigrome transferred to Western Kentucky for 2020, his Year 5 redshirt senior season. After playing 11 games for WKU in 2020, Pigrome committed to Ole Miss to play in 2021. The NCAA did not count 2020 against players’ eligibility due to the unique COVID-related circumstances of the season, allowing Pigrome to be a Year 6 “super senior.”

In an Aug. 31, 2021, press conference, Lane Kiffin acknowledged Pigrome’s transfer to Ole Miss:

“We’d like to have depth and competition all the time, so we’re always looking. It’s kind of turned into the NFL with transfers and things. (Pigrome) did a good job and caused people problems at Western (Kentucky). To be able to add him was good, and that competition with the other two guys is still going.”

On3’s report of Pigrome entering the transfer portal does not detail his eligibility situation as he enters Year 7. Pigrome is listed on the Ole Miss 2021 online roster, but the bio and stats sections are blank. An Ole Miss release included Pigrome among the list of Rebel players participating in last month’s Pro Day.
