WATCH: Ole Miss players chant ‘We want Luke’ in locker room after big Egg Bowl victory

The Ole Miss Rebels won’t be going to a bowl game this year, so they put everything they had into Thursday’s Egg Bowl rivalry against Mississippi State.
After building a big lead, the Rebels managed to hold on to upset the No. 14 Bulldogs 31-28 in Starkville, ending their season on a high note.
As you can see in the video below, shared by @B_ChapmanOM on Twitter, the Rebels were having some well-earned fun in the locker room after the victory. They also made it clear that they want interim coach Matt Luke to earn the full-time job, chanting “We want Luke” in the locker room:

The Rebels improved to 6-6 with the impressive victory, but as mentioned above, they won’t be going to a bowl game, as they’re serving a self-imposed one-year bowl ban.
However, picking up such a big win to end the regular season was huge for both the Rebels and Luke, who may have just coached his last game as the Ole Miss interim.
