Keyshawn Johnson is a bit worried about the New England Patriots for this upcoming season, it appears.

And, much of that worry stems from the quarterback position, where former Alabama QB Mac Jones is entering his second season as the team’s starter.

On “Keyshawn, JWill & Max” on Monday morning, Johnson sounded off on Jones, comparing him to bad macaroni and cheese:

“Mac Jones, this preseason, he looks like bad macaroni and cheese with bread crumbs on top,” Johnson said. “For whatever reason, and I don’t know if it’s Matt Patricia and Joe Judge or if it’s just the offensive line or the offensive play-calling or whatever the case or he’s not seeing it clean, but he looks like a guy that belongs in the fourth round opposed to the guy we saw last year help his team, at times, get into the playoffs. … He looks like a totally different dude this preseason. I don’t know what it is, but like I said, he looks like a bad pan of macaroni and cheese.”

Can Jones turn things around in time for Week 1? He showed flashes of brilliance last year, but then-OC Josh McDaniels is now the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, so we’ll see if Jones can adjust to the new staff in time to make another playoff run.
