Davon Godchaux has inked a new deal with the New England Patriots to keep him locked up for the next 3 seasons.

Heading into the final season of a 2-year, $15 million deal, Godchaux has signed a new 2-year, $20.8 million extension with the Patriots. The deal guarantees Godchaux, a defensive lineman, will make $17.85 million. Godchaux’s agents shared the news with NFL reporter Adam Schefter on Wednesday afternoon.

Godchaux, a former LSU standout, has been in the NFL since 2017. He declared for the NFL Draft after his junior season and was picked in the fifth round by the Miami Dolphins. Godchaux landed with the Patriots in March 2021.

Last season, Godchaux played in 17 games, making 16 starts, recording 65 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. Over his career, Godchaux has played in 69 games (58 starts), logging 244 tackles, 4 sacks, 2 passes defended and 2 forced fumbles.
