2 SEC schools crack top 6 for 5-star 2022 S Jacoby Mathews out of Louisiana

Elite players in the 2022 recruiting class are starting to trim down their lists of top schools.
On Tuesday, 5-star S Jacoby Mathews out of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, announced his top 6 schools, and 2 of them were in the SEC.
As you can see below, Mathews took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to reveal that LSU and Florida are still among the schools he’s considering:

Those 2 SEC programs will compete with USC and Arizona State out of the Pac-12, Texas out of the Big 12 and ACC powerhouse Clemson for Mathews’ services in 2022 and beyond.
Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Mathews is the No. 2 safety in the class of 2022 and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state of Louisiana.
