Athlon Sports has taken on the task of ranking all 130 FBS quarterbacks. The SEC is shut out of the top 10, but does occupy four spots in the top 15, led by Alabama’s Jalen Hurts.

The list’s author, Steve Lassan, has former Baylor QB Jarrett Stidham as the SEC’s next-best signal caller. Tennessee has an open quarterback competition, and Lassan sees the job going to Jarrett Guarantano, who is ranked ahead of returning starters Danny Etling (LSU) and Drew Barker (Kentucky).

Lassan isn’t quite as sold on other highly ranked recruits batting for the starting job. Florida’s Feleipe Franks, a redshirt freshman expected to take the first snap against Michigan, is ranked No. 13 in the SEC. Texas A&M’s Kellen Mond, a true freshman, comes in right behind Franks.

Here’s how the 14 SEC quarterbacks ranked:

  • No. 11: Jalen Hurts, Alabama
  • No. 12: Jarrett Stidham, Auburn
  • No. 14: Austin Allen, Arkansas
  • No. 15: Nick Fitzgerald, Mississippi State
  • No. 21: Jacob Eason, Georgia
  • No. 23: Shea Patterson, Ole Miss
  • No. 24: Jake Bentley, South Carolina
  • No. 35: Drew Lock, Missouri
  • No. 48: Kyle Shurmur, Vanderbilt
  • No. 62: Jarrett Guarantano, Tennessee
  • No. 63: Danny Etling, LSU
  • No. 76: Drew Barker, Kentucky
  • No. 77: Feleipe Franks, Florida
  • No. 78: Kellen Mond, Texas A&M
