The latest Coaches Poll is out and the SEC has 6 teams ranked. Last week’s poll also included 6 conference teams. While multiple teams were on a bye, the ranked SEC teams that played all took care of business.

Georgia held onto the No. 1 spot in the new poll. The Bulldogs improved to 8-0 with a blowout rivalry win over Florida in Jacksonville.

UGA next plays Mizzou. The Tigers were on a bye, but moved up 2 spots in the new poll.

The SEC West race was out of the spotlight in Week 9, as Alabama and LSU were on byes ahead of their rivalry showdown in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide is holding steady at No. 8. The Tigers, meanwhile, moved up 2 spots, inching closer to UA ahead of the big game.

Ole Miss is still in the SEC West mix and could potentially make some noise in the College Football Playoff as a 1-loss team. The Rebels moved up 1 spot after defeating Vanderbilt.

Tennessee bounced back in Week 9 with a win over Kentucky. The Vols moved up 4 spots.
