Bowl games don’t start until December, but projecting the games happens throughout the college football season.

On Monday, Brett McMurphy of the Action Network shared his updated bowl projections following Week 3’s results. McMurphy has 11 SEC teams going bowling with Missouri, South Carolina and Vanderbilt staying home for the holidays.

McMurphy’s predictions include 2 SEC-Big Ten matchups in the College Football Playoff field of 4. With 2 CFP spots filled by SEC teams, that means the next highest-ranked SEC team plays in the Sugar Bowl. McMurphy also has the Orange Bowl choosing an SEC team from the available pool.
