The third College Football Playoff rankings of the 2023 season were released on Tuesday night on ESPN.

Committee chair Boo Corrigan, athletic director at NC State, is the face of the group again this season, the tenth of the 4-team CFP format.

Selection committee members meet in person on Mondays and Tuesdays ahead of weekly rankings reveals on ESPN. Rankings will be unveiled every Tuesday from Oct. 31 to Nov. 28. The final CFP poll of the 2023 season will be announced on Selection Day, Sunday Dec. 3.

The 2023-24 College Football Playoff will feature Jan. 1 semifinal games at the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl. The CFP National Championship Game is set to be played in Houston on Jan. 8.

All eyes are on the 5 undefeated teams from the Power 5 conferences. Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State and Washington are all 10-0 entering the last 2 weeks of the regular season before conference championship games.

The SEC Championship Game matchup is set between Georgia and Alabama. Since the CFP’s 2014 season debut, at least 1 SEC team has made the field of 4 every year. Georgia moved up to No. 1 in the latest rankings, while Alabama remained at No. 8.
