Damar Hamlin update: Bills safety suffered cardiac arrest on field, remains in critical condition

The Buffalo Bills updated Damar Hamlin’s current status after he collapsed on the field during a MNF game between the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals.
According to the update, Hamlin, a 24-year old safety for the Bills, suffered cardiac arrest on the field after tackling Bengals WR Tee Higgins. He was given CPR soon after when his his heart was restored, was immediately taken to the hospital and is now sedated and remains in critical condition.
A representative of Hamlin’s stated later that his vitals were “back to normal,” though he was not breathing on his own as of 10:30 p.m. Monday night.
Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals. His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition.

The NFL made the decision to postpone the game following the terrifying events. All we can do now is hope for the best possible outcome.
