Denver Jones was one of the most talented players in the C-USA last season. The FIU guard averaged 20 points per game and announced at the end of the season that he would be entering the transfer portal to play for a top conference next season.

Jones, who has 2 years of eligibility remaining, has heard from several schools and set 4 in-home visits on Sunday, including 2 from SEC programs – Arkansas and Alabama. AS well as technically Oklahoma, which will become a member of the SEC the year after next.

Jones is indeed a pure scorer, but also a strong defender. He averaged nearly 2 steals per game last season with the Panthers.

But obviously he’s best known for his scoring ability Jones shot 47% from the field last season and can score at all 3 levels, especially well from range. The 6-4 guard hit 37% of his shots from downtown last season.
