Dylan Sampson and Kyle Kennard both had impressive individual seasons for Tennessee and South Carolina, respectively. Now, that duo is headlining the top individual All-SEC honors from the AP.

Sampson took home the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Year honor from the AP after setting Vols records with 1,485 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns. His 22 touchdowns are the 5th-most in an SEC season and tied for 3rd in the country.

Kennard is the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Year. The star Gamecock anchored a ferocious defensive front for South Carolina with 11.5 sacks and 15.5 TFL, top marks in the SEC. Kennard also delivered 10 QB hurries with 3 forced fumbles.

Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia goes down as the SEC’s Newcomer of the Year after transferring in from New Mexico State. Pavia produced 23 total touchdowns while leading the Commodores to their first bowl game since 2018.

South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer is the SEC Coach of the Year after a 9-3 season for the Gamecocks. It is just the 5th season in Gamecock history with 9 wins, including a program-record 4 wins against Top 25 teams.
