Saturday’s FCS Championship semifinal between South Dakota State and Montana State was delayed because Montana State offensive coordinator Taylor Housewright was stuck in an elevator.

The game has since started, with No. 1 seed South Dakota State taking an early 7-0 lead.

If this sounds familiar, don’t worry. This is the 2nd time an elevator related controversy has plagued offensive coordinators/assistants. Several Virginia Tech assistants found themselves trapped in an elevator earlier this season as Virginia Tech took on Old Dominion. It seems like something that happens a lot more than it should.

And Montana State has its hands full without the elevator problems. South Dakota State is 12-1 on the season, with its only loss coming at the hands of Iowa in Week 1. Even then, the Jackrabbits gave the Hawkeyes everything they had, losing 7-3.
