Florida and Arkansas are your 2023 co-SEC regular-season champions.

The Gators will take the 1-seed in next week’s SEC Tournament by virtue of a tiebreaker. The title was determined on Saturday after Arkansas blew a 6-4 lead late to Vanderbilt and fell 7-6. With LSU losing to Georgia earlier on Saturday, the Razorbacks were in a position to claim the outright SEC title with a victory over Vanderbilt, but couldn’t seal the deal.

It’s a second title in 3 years for Arkansas, which won the 2021 regular-season crown outright. Florida has its first regular-season championship since 2018.

The Gators (42-13) won the rubber match with Kentucky on Saturday, 5-2, to head into conference tournament action with series victories in 3 of its last 4.

The Razorbacks (39-15) lost back-to-back to Vanderbilt to close out the regular season. Arkansas rode a 4-run fifth inning on Saturday to surge ahead of Vandy. Arkansas didn’t score again, and the Commodores used a 3-run sixth inning to take the series.

Still, Arkansas will have the No. 2 seed in next week’s league tournament.

The 2023 SEC Baseball tournament is set for May 23-28 in Hoover, Ala., at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
