There have been 33 high school offensive linemen evaluated as five-star prospects in the past 10 recruiting classes (2006-15).

But how many of those prospects lived up to that rating by the time their collegiate careers came to an end? Let’s take a look at what all 33 achieved at the college level.

CENTER

Michael Brewster (2008): Brewster was a four-year starter at center for Ohio State from 2008 through 2011, earning All-America and first-team All-Big Ten honors in that time. He’s since gone on to have a productive NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins — PANNED OUT

GUARDS

Martez Ivey (2015): Recruited as a left tackle, he suffered a knee injury prior to his freshman season at Florida but came back at left guard to play in 12 games for the Gators, starting the final eight. He is listed as the starting left guard on the Gators depth chart for 2016. – TO BE DETERMINED

Darius James (2013): Redshirted in 2013 and played in six games as a redshirt freshman in 2014, starting two of them. His season was cut short due to a knee injury. He transferred from Texas to Auburn and sat out the 2015 season but will have two years of eligibility. — TO BE DETERMINED

Issac Seumalo (2012): Became the first freshman to start at center for Oregon State in more than 30 years when he arrived in 2012. Started all 12 games for the Beavers in 2013 at two different positions, earning second-team All-Pac 12 honors. He missed the 2014 season due to injury. — PANNED OUT

Tray Allen (2007): Appeared in 46 career games at Texas from 2007-11, but stated just six. Missed the entire 2010 season due to injury. — DIDN’T PAN OUT

Andre Smith (2006): Became the fourth true freshman to ever start on Alabama’s offensive line when he arrived in Tuscaloosa in 2006. First-team All-SEC selection twice, 2008 unanimous All-American, first-round NFL draft pick. — PANNED OUT

Carl Johnson (2006): Started 33 games for Florida from 2008-2010. Remained a productive member of the offense but never earned all-conference honors during his UF career. — DIDN’T PAN OUT

Marques Slocum (2005): Recruited as an offensive lineman but transitioned to defensive tackle in junior college before arriving at Michigan. — DIDN’T PAN OUT (as an offensive lineman)

TACKLES

Mitch Hyatt (2015): Started every game as a true freshman for Clemson and made third team All-ACC. – TO BE DETERMINED

Cameron Robinson (2014): Started every game along Alabama’s offensive line as a true freshman in 2014 and again anchored the line in 2015. — TO BE DETERMINED

Damian Prince (2014): Redshirted as a true freshman at Maryland, appeared in 10 games in 2015, starting six. — TO BE DETERMINED

Laremy Tunsil (2013): A two-year starter at Ole Miss. Earned freshman All-America and first-team All-SEC honors already during his career, allowed fewest sacks of any player on the Ole Miss offensive line this season. — PANNED OUT

A’Shawn Robinson (2013): Transitioned to the defensive line upon arriving at Alabama in 2013 and turned out to be a star there. He’ll be a high first-round pick in the NFL draft this spring. — DIDN’T PAN OUT (as an offensive lineman)

D.J. Humphries (2012): Missed seven games during his three-year career at Florida due to injuries. Earned freshman All-America honors in 2012 after appearing in 12 games for the Gators. — PANNED OUT

Kyle Murphy (2012): Played in 54 games at Stanford from 2012-15. Became full-time starter in 2014 and earned first-team All-Pac 12 honors in his senior year. — PANNED OUT

Arik Armstead (2012): Transitioned to defensive line upon arriving at Oregon in 2012, considered a top NFL Draft prospect as a defensive lineman. — DIDN’T PAN OUT (as an offensive lineman)

John Theus (2012): A four-year starter at tackle along Georgia’s offensive line. Named a freshman All-American in 2012. Made his 48th career start – including a team-best streak of 33 straight – in Georgia’s 24-17 victory over Penn State in the Taxslayer Bowl. — PANNED OUT

Andrus Peat (2012): Played in 13 games as a freshman at Stanford in 2012, took over as a starter at offensive tackle in 2013. Twice named an All-Pac 12 honoree and in 2014 named a first-team All-American by numerous media outlets. Projected to be a first-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft — PANNED OUT

Cyrus Kouandjio (2011): Took over as a full-time starter on Alabama’s offensive line as a sophomore in 2012, helping the Tide win a BCS national title. Was named a first-team All-SEC selection in 2013 and was taken in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. — PANNED OUT

La’El Collins (2011): Appeared in seven games as a freshman in 2011 and earned freshman All-America honors. Took over as a full-time starter at offensive tackle for LSU in 2012. Maintained his starting role for three seasons, and was a two-time All-SEC selection and the 2014 Jacobs Blocking Trophy winner.  He had a successful first year in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys. — PANNED OUT

Christian Westerman (2011): Began his career at Auburn, where he redshirted in 2011 and played in only two games in 2012 due to injury. Transferred to Arizona State and took over as the starting left guard in 2014 and 2015, starting 25 of 26 games played. Two-time All-Pac-12 honoree. — PANNED OUT

Seantrel Henderson (2010): Earned a starting job as a freshman in 2010 but never started for a full season at Miami due to injuries and off-field troubles including marijuana use and a car accident. Was taken in the seventh and final round of the 2014 NFL Draft. — DIDN’T PAN OUT

Ja’Wuan James (2010): Started 49 straight games at offensive tackle for Tennessee from 2010-13, setting a school record for consecutive starts by an offensive lineman. Named an All-SEC performer as a senior in 2013 and was taken in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. — PANNED OUT

Mason Walters (2009): Started 51 games in four seasons at Texas and was twice named an All-Big 12 honorable mention. Did not have a career in the NFL. — PANNED OUT

Xavier Nixon (2009): Arrived at Florida in 2009 and broke into the starting lineup as an injury replacement at left tackle. Was named a freshman All-SEC selection that season. Maintained a starting role throughout the rest of his career. Has been in the NFL for two years despite being undrafted. — PANNED OUT

D.J. Fluker (2009): Redshirted at Alabama in 2009 then took over as a starting offensive tackle in 2010. Helped the Crimson Tide win back-to-back BCS national titles in 2011 and 2012, and was named a first-team All-American and first-team All-SEC performer as a junior in 2012. He was selected 11th overall in the 2013 NFL Draft. — PANNED OUT

Tyler Love (2008): Redshirted as a true freshman in 2008 and saw little playing time throughout the remainder of his Alabama career. Never earned a starting job with the Tide before his eligibility ran out. — DIDN’T PAN OUT

Matt Kalil (2008): Broke into the starting lineup at left tackle as a sophomore at USC in 2009 and retained the spot for the rest of his college career. Named an All-American and All-Pac 12 performer in 2011 and was taken fourth overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. — PANNED OUT

Mike Adams (2008): Three-time All-Big Ten honoree in four years at Ohio State. Was selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, and was named the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Rookie of the Year that season. — PANNED OUT

Josh Oglesby (2007): Started at least one game in all four years of his career at Wisconsin from 2008-11, but never maintained a starting role for a full season. Was named a first-team All-Big Ten honoree in 2011. Was undrafted in 2012 and never appeared in an NFL game as an offensive lineman. — DIDN’T PAN OUT

James Wilson (2007): Played in 50 career games at Florida but only made 16 starts. Injuries limited his impact with the Gators, costing him most of the 2010 season. — DIDN’T PAN OUT

Ryan Miller (2007): Broke into the starting lineup as a freshman at Colorado in 2007 and earned freshman All-America honors in the process. Overcame an injury-shortened season in 2008 to retain his starting role from 2009-11. Was selected in the 2012 NFL Draft. — PANNED OUT

Sam Young (2006): Became the first true freshman in Notre Dame history to start along the offensive line in his first career game, and was named a freshman All-American. Started 50 straight games for the Fighting Irish before being selected in the 2010 NFL Draft. — PANNED OUT
