How they voted: Best, worst rankings for SEC teams in the Week 14 AP Poll
The regular season is now over, save for a few makeup games like South Carolina-Akron, Cal-Stanford and others that have been postponed due to major weather events this year.
That means only a handful of teams have a chance to impress poll voters from now until the final polls are released following bowl season.
In the Week 14 AP Poll, seven SEC teams crack the top 25, led by the Alabama Crimson Tide at No. 1. Below, you can see the highest and lowest votes each team got, and something of note, thanks to CollegePollTracker.com:
Alabama
Actual rank: 1
Highest rank: 1
Lowest rank: 1
Of note: After another dominant performance, Alabama is once again the unanimous No. 1 team in the country.
Georgia
Actual rank: 4
Highest rank: 4
Lowest rank: 6
Of note: Steve Virgen is apparently getting a head start on dropping the Dawgs in the rankings, as he has both Ohio State and Oklahoma ahead of them. Clearly, he thinks Alabama will win in Atlanta next weekend.
Florida
Actual rank: 11
Highest rank: 8
Lowest rank: 17
Of note: The Gators are at No. 8 in three ballots and down at No. 17 in two polls.
LSU
Actual rank: 13
Highest rank: 8
Lowest rank: 23
Of note: Michael Lev must be grumpy after the seven-overtime game on Saturday night. He dropped the Tigers all the way to No. 23 in his poll, though no one else had them lower than No. 18.
Kentucky
Actual rank: 16
Highest rank: 11
Lowest rank: 22
Of note: Count Rachel Richlinski as not impressed with the Wildcats’ blowout of Louisville. She has them down at No. 22, the only one to have them that low.
Mississippi State
Actual rank: 20
Highest rank: 14
Lowest rank: Unranked
Of note: The Bulldogs are not mentioned in five polls this week.
Texas A&M
Actual rank: 22
Highest rank: 14
Lowest rank: Unranked
Of note: Blake Toppmeyer loves him some Aggies, as he has them ranked No. 14. No one else has A&M higher than No. 17. The Aggies are also left out of five polls.
