Internet crushes FOX Sports analyst who picked Texas for the College Football Playoff

This preseason prediction is not looking good right about now.
Many analysts shared their predictions for the four teams that would make the College Football Playoff prior to the season. As expected, there were plenty of usual suspects mentioned that have a great shot at playing for a national championship.
One pick in particular that seemed odd at the time was FOX Sports analyst Robert Smith picking the Texas Longhorns to make the Playoff. Smith did not give a ton of reasoning behind his pick of the Longhorns, but he certainly sounded high on the team heading into the season.
Well, that prediction is looking pretty bad after the first game. Maryland upset Texas 34-29 for the second straight year, and it is hard to imagine the Longhorns winning the Big 12, much less making the Playoff.
