Jalyn Crawford picked up 33 scholarship offers during his recruitment. On Saturday, the blue-chip defensive back out of Georgia verbally pledged to play in the SEC.

Crawford has committed to play for Auburn. His decision to play for Hugh Freeze’s program was revealed on social media with help from On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

A standout of Parkview High School in Lilburn, Georgia, Crawford is listed as measuring 6-feet, 180 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Crawford is rated 4-stars, the No. 16 cornerback, No. 23 Georgia recruit and No. 159 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

For Saturday’s announcement, Crawford narrowed things down to Auburn, Florida and LSU. As recently as May he had also been showing interest in South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami and North Carolina.
