Kirk Herbstreit’s top four teams from a week ago all won on Saturday, so it’s no surprise that the ESPN analyst kept those teams at the top of his rankings after Week 2.

However, there was one shift from Herbstreit. After keeping Alabama at No. 1 and Clemson at No. 2, Herbstreit moved Georgia up to No. 3 from No. 4, ahead of Ohio State, which he moved down a spot to No. 4.

In addition to his top four, Herbstreit revealed that Oklahoma and Auburn are the next two teams in his rankings.

Alabama easily won its home opener, beating Arkansas State, 57-7. However, Clemson had a much closer Week 2 matchup as it held on to beat Texas A&M on the road, 28-26.

Georgia impressed Herbstreit with its 41-17 win over South Carolina, which was ranked No. 24 in the AP poll entering the matchup.

As long as Alabama and Georgia continue to win in this fashion, it’s unlikely either school loses its spot in Herbstreit’s top four any time soon. And perhaps Auburn could also move up if it continues to play well.
