Apparently, Alabama’s championship parade in Tuscaloosa Saturday was just for show.

UCF is sticking to its genius marketing strategy of claiming the national championship despite not playing in the College Football Playoff. The attention the program is receiving at the moment is off the charts as the school is capitalizing on the football program’s undefeated campaign.

While the school can make as many claims as it likes and hang all the banners in the world, that’s not going to change the fact that UCF didn’t win much of significance last season. Alabama is the national champion and UCF is the winner of the Peach Bowl.

The banner proudly claims UCF as ‘The only 2017 undefeated champion’ at the bottom. That’s a nice touch, although technically the program did lose its coach to a better job. Shouldn’t that count as a loss? It’s going to account for several in the 2018 season.
