Lucas Simmons, 4-star 2023 Florida OT, names 2 SEC teams in final 4

Lucas Simmons is ready to make his college decision. After picking up 37 scholarship offers, the 4-star offensive tackle has narrowed it down to 4 options and set a commitment date.

Simmons will commit to either Florida, Tennessee, FSU or USC on Monday, July 11. He will announce the decision live at 1 p.m. ET on the CBS Sports HQ streaming channel.

Simmons is originally from Sweden and moved to the United States in 2021, per his 247Sports profile. He enrolled at Clearwater (Florida) Academy International before his junior season. Lucas’ father is Able Simmons, who played offensive line for Oklahoma.

Listed at 6-7, 300 pounds, Simmons is rated 4-stars, the No. 13 offensive tackle, No. 24 recruit in Florida and No. 107 prospect overall in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. After visiting Oklahoma State on April 22, Simmons checked out his 4 finalists in May and June.
