With Adnan Virk no longer a part ESPN, the network had to find a new studio host for the upcoming college football season. According to a new report, ESPN has finally made its decision on Virk’s replacement.

Virk was fired from ESPN during the college football offseason for allegedly leaking company information to reporters.

The Big Lead is reporting that ESPN veteran Matt Barrie will be promoted up to the lead anchor spot for ESPN’s college football coverage and will also be the anchor for the network’s Saturday night roundup show, “College Football Final,” which airs after all the big games around the nation come to an end.

Marrie has worked at ESPN since March of 2013. He previously served as a co-host of ESPN’s College Football Podcast with Ivan Maisel and has hosted “College GameDay” on ESPN Radio.

In addition to this news, The Big Lead is reporting that Marty Smith will take over Laura Rutledge’s hosting duties on “SEC Nation” when she goes on maternity leave this season.
