College QB attempts hurdle that turns into a flying kick instead

Everyone wants to hurdle defenders these days on the football field. However, that play is dangerous, as it can lead to some scary hits (and some hits to uncomfortable areas).
On Saturday afternoon, Middle Tennessee QB Asher O’Hara escaped the pocket and took off running.
When he approaches a North Texas defender, he attempts to hurdle him. And, as you can see below, it did not go as planned:

That’s an extreme play, to say the least. It’s not great for either player involved, but it was entertaining to watch nonetheless.
We can only imagine what will be said in both teams’ film rooms when breaking down tape of Saturday’s game.
