One of the top overall prospects in the 2021 recruiting cycle from Mississippi is very close to announcing his college decision.

George County High School standout MJ Daniels just announced he plans to declare his college commitment on Friday.

The Lucedale, Miss., native is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 6 overall prospect according to 247Sports Composite Rankings, although 247Sports rates Daniels as a four-star and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state.

Based on the list of teams that have offered Daniels a scholarship, it’s safe to assume the Mississippi native will be ranked as a four-star by the time he signs with his college of choice.

Daniels currently has offers from Arkansas, Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas A&M, among others.

He previously announced his top four of Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Texas A&M.

Come Friday, we’ll know which of those four schools lands his commitment.
