Netflix’s popular documentary series Last Chance U is on the move for its third season after dedicating the initial two seasons of the show to East Mississippi Community College. The upcoming season of the show will focus on Independence Community College of Independence, Kansas.
While this news may be leaking late, many in the Independence program have apparently been well aware of the news for some time. Independence CC commit Tyreik McCallum mentioned being on the show back in March, according to Jonathan Bym of The Robesonian.
“The defensive coordinator called me on the phone and said they would be filming Last Chance U,” McCallum said.
J. Levi Burnfin of The Garden City Telegram confirms the news and also reports that Garden City Community College turned down an opportunity to be featured for the upcoming season of the Netflix show.
Multiple sources confirm to me that Indy CC will be the featured program for Season 3 of Last Chance U.

One interesting note on this news concerns Arkansas fans, Razorback commit, and top JUCO defensive line prospect, Emmit Gooden will play for Independence CC this season. His inclusion alone should be reason enough for Arkansas fans to get excited about another season of the show.
