Rivalry Week in the SEC, for the most part, didn’t disappoint.

There were a few lopsided games, sure. But fans saw a thrilling Egg Bowl upset on Thanksgiving night and an exciting Iron Bowl upset on Saturday night. On Black Friday, Missouri and Arkansas battled in a tight, four-quarter shootout.

Now that the regular season has ended, it’s time to reflect on the top performances of the weekend one final time.

With coaches, players and teams eligible for consideration, here are your top SEC performances from Rivalry Week:

10. Ed Orgeron

LSU’s 45-21 win over Texas A&M on Saturday night gave the Tigers their ninth victory of 2017. Coming into the year, many fans viewed head coach Orgeron’s hiring as a lazy decision by the LSU administration. Many thought he could not get the job done. While a nine-win season doesn’t ease all of those concerns (especially with an embarrassing loss to Troy), Orgeron won over a good portion of the fan base this season, and it was because of wins like Saturday.

9. Ralph Webb

What a career the Vanderbilt running back has had. Webb played his final game as a Commodore on Saturday night in Knoxville. In his finale, he rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries, averaging 6.5 yards. Webb finished his college career with 4,178 rushing yards and 32 touchdowns on the ground. Hats off to one of the SEC’s most underrated treasures.

8. Vanderbilt

Speaking of Vanderbilt, when the Commodores went into Knoxville and punished Tennessee 42-24 on Saturday, they showed a ton of heart. It’s not easy to get up for a game when you are 0-7 in the SEC, but Vandy showed that it cared more about beating Tennessee and avoiding a winless conference record than the Vols cared about avoiding their first ever eight-loss season. This season hasn’t been good for Vanderbilt, but at least the Commodores aren’t the worst team in the SEC.

7. A.J. Brown

Brown tops the SEC and is fifth in the nation with 1,252 receiving yards.

Brown has proven to be a reliable deep threat for Ole Miss this season. On Thursday night in Starkville (his hometown), Brown proved why he has NFL potential. He led Ole Miss (as he has done most of the 2017 season) with six catches for 167 yards and a touchdown. Brown had a big-time, 77-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter to gave the Rebels a two-score lead against their in-state rival.

6. Drew Lock

Lock threw for 448 yards and five touchdowns Friday against Arkansas. Sure, Lock played extremely well in the 48-45 win over the Hogs, but that’s not all that uncommon for him. He has made this list quite a few times. More important, Lock eclipsed Andre Woodson’s SEC record for passing touchdowns (40) in a season. Lock, who came into the game with 38 TD passes, threw three scoring strikes in the first half to set the record. He finished the regular season with 43 and can add more in a bowl game.

5. Barry Odom

Mizzou's six-game winning streak is the program's longest since another six-game streak in 2014.

Does Odom deserve a contract extension? Maybe a raise? While Odom desperately needs to change his defense for Mizzou to compete in the SEC, it can’t be overlooked that he motivated a 1-5 team to finish with a 7-5 record. The Tigers are hotter than just about any team in the SEC. They took down Arkansas on the road Friday, and now should be looking ahead to a solid bowl berth.

4. Danny Etling

Remember the days when everyone used to say, “Oh, if LSU just had a quarterback … ?” Well, now it does. Etling had a monstrous performance on Saturday against Texas A&M. The Tigers’ senior quarterback completed 19 of 30 pass attempts for 347 yards and three touchdowns. Throughout his career, Etling has gone from a guy who fans complained about because he couldn’t throw to one of the most reliable signal-callers in the SEC.

3. Benny Snell, Jr.

Simply put, Snell has been unstoppable in the second half of the season. He showed that again on Saturday, though Louisville stomped his Wildcats 44-17. Despite having little to no supporting cast, Snell carried the team, rushing for 211 yards on 29 carries. He also scored Kentucky’s only two touchdowns of the game. Snell leads the SEC with 1,318 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns on the season.

2. Matt Luke

Luke stepped into a seemingly unwinnable situation when former head coach Hugh Freeze was fired. Yet Luke guided the Rebels to a respectable 6-6 season. While the defense needs some work, the Rebels’ offense hardly missed a beat this year. A 31-28 win over a Top 15 Mississippi State squad was huge for Luke’s case to be retained as the Ole Miss head coach, and the school rewarded him by removing the interim tag from his job title. He has done about as well as an interim in his situation could have done.

1. Auburn

Anytime you can beat your in-state rival to win the SEC West and keep hopes alive for a berth in the College Football Playoff, that’s a big deal — especially when your rival is No. 1 Alabama. Gus Malzahn and the Tigers are undoubtedly the hottest team in the country, having knocked off two No. 1 teams in three weeks. If Auburn can fend off Georgia one more time in the SEC title game, it will certainly have a place locked up in the playoff.
