According to a recent study by Stats LLC and the Wall Street Journal, South Carolina’s Steve Spurrier is college football’s active leader with 62 career wins against Top 25 competition, 18 coming during his current nine-year stint at South Carolina.

Stanford’s David Shaw has the best career winning percentage (0.77) against ranked teams while Oklahoma’s Bob Stoops has the most wins of any coach at one major-conference school (50-23).
