It’s a huge week for the SEC. Not only does Ole Miss host Georgia in a matchup of 2 elite teams, but Alabama will also go on the road to LSU this weekend in a potential play-in game for the College Football Playoff. College GameDay will be in Baton Rouge for that matchup between the Crimson Tide and the Tigers.

The stakes couldn’t be higher for Ole Miss. With 2 losses already on their résumé, the Rebels have no margin-for-error remaining if they hope the make the College Football Playoff.

It’s possible Ole Miss could still crack the top-12 with a 9-3 record, but the Rebels would likely need a lot of help — and chaos — down the stretch from other top teams in order to make that happen. On the other side, Ole Miss would be in great position to make the top-12 if it has a 10-2 record and a win over Georgia on its résumé.

Georgia can ill-afford to pick up a second conference loss if it wants to stay in the mix for the SEC Championship Game. The Bulldogs are currently 1 of 5 SEC teams with exactly 1 loss in conference play.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
