The SEC Network continues to make moves as part of the ESPN re-shuffling over the last few months to prepare for the 2023 college football season.

In a press release, the network noted former Auburn star Takeo Spikes will join SEC Network host Alyssa Lang as a studio analyst for Out of Pocket. The show, which returns on at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and will air on the SEC Network weekly throughout the season, will put a bow on the week that was in the SEC and look ahead at whatโ€™s to come, as coaches, players and other notable guests join Lang, who recently signed a new, multi-year deal with SEC Network, and Spikes to fuse fun with football every week.

โ€œAdding Takeo to Out of Pocket alongside Alyssa provides the former player perspective to a show that is known for humanizing the athletes and coaches who fans see every Saturday,โ€ said Pete Watters, ESPN coordinating producer and SEC Network studio production lead. โ€œWeโ€™re excited for SEC Network viewers to experience a different side of Takeo, and for his and Alyssaโ€™s friendship to play off each other on air.โ€

Andraya Carter, who was Lang’s co-host last season, has moved on within ESPN, but congratulated the new co-hosts.

The news follows ESPNโ€™s announcement of a new show featuring Cole Cubelic and Roman Harper that will debut on the SEC Network called Read and React,ย slated for the 7 p.m. slot on Monday nights.
