The SEC released the following statement on the recent negotiations between Charter Communications and Disney Thursday morning.

The statement is in reference to recent blackouts that have kept Spectrum customers from watching all ESPN products, including SEC Network, right at the start of football season. Many fans complained when the notification came just before kickoff in the first Saturday of Week 1.
The recent negotiations have forced some users to turn on cable entirely, and the SEC is quietly ushering people in that direction with this post. At the end, it encourages SEC fans to “easily” sign up for one of YouTube TV, Hulu, Sling and more. Even DirecTV was encouraged to get people back to watching SEC football.
Several great games are being played on ESPN channels this week, including Alabama/Texas, Ole Miss/Tulane, Mississippi State/Arizona and many more.
