Sports Illustrated unveils 2017 All-American team, 5 SEC players named to first-team
Sports Illustrated unveiled their 2017 All-American team Thursday.
Five SEC players received first team selections with Georgia LB Roquan Smith leading four SEC stars on the first-team defense.
The awards continue to pile up for Smith following a tremendous season for the Bulldogs defender. He has already received the Butkus Award, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and SEC Championship MVP to list a few of his honors.
Auburn was the only SEC school with multiple first-team selections in LB Jeff Holland and CB Carlton Davis. The Tigers also had five total players on the first or second team units.
