Through three weeks of the season, the SEC has had some dominant performances, from defending champion Alabama to 3-0 Kentucky to a 2-1 Texas A&M squad that only lost to No. 2 Clemson by two points.

That means there are plenty of SEC teams in the top 25, and CBS Sports actually has five SEC squads in its top 10 in the updated rankings of all 129 FBS programs.

As you can see below, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Auburn and Mississippi State are all top-10 teams, with Arkansas bringing up the rear at No. 106:

  • No. 1 — Alabama
  • No. 3 — Georgia
  • No. 5 — LSU
  • No. 8 — Auburn
  • No. 9 — Mississippi State
  • No. 19 — Texas A&M
  • No. 31 — Mizzou
  • No. 35 — South Carolina
  • No. 38 — Kentucky
  • No. 46 — Florida
  • No. 58 — Vanderbilt
  • No. 62 — Ole Miss
  • No. 73 — Tennessee
  • No. 106 — Arkansas

We’ll have more big SEC matchups this week, with Alabama hosting Texas A&M, Georgia traveling to Missouri and Florida playing Tennessee in Neyland Stadium.

It’ll be interesting to see how these rankings shake out next week.
