XFL player catches flag thrown by ref and throws it back, drawing additional penalty
The XFL season is well underway and Saturday’s early afternoon game features the LA Wildcats against the New York Guardians.
In the third quarter of Saturday’s game, a ref threw a flag at New York defender Dravon Askew-Henry for holding. But, the flag hit Askew-Henry and he caught it.
So, what did he do? He threw it right back in the direction it came from, as you can see in the videos below:

That drew an additional flag, as Askew-Henry was flagged by a different ref for delay of game, a 5-yard penalty.
It’s nice to see the new XFL has kept at least some of the rebel energy the first version of the league had back in 2001.
