Deebo Samuel will play for the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

Samuel had been questionable this week after suffering an injury in the 49ers’ narrow win over Green Bay in the divisional round last week. Samuel caught just 2 passes for 24 yards before having to leave that game.

On Friday, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan announced that Samuel is officially off the injury report:

This is huge news for the 49ers, who will host the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon. San Francisco is currently favored by 7.5 points over Detroit, and Samuel’s presence should certainly give the 49ers an edge.
