The South Carolina Gamecocks are going to be without WR Deebo Samuel next year, as he is a senior in 2018.

However, they could also be without star QB Jake Bentley and talented WR Bryan Edwards, both of whom have tough decisions to make about their NFL futures.

After Saturday’s game against Akron, both Bentley and Edwards were asked about their plans. Bentley said he was going to take his time making a decision (via 247Sports):

“I think we’ll go over it (with family), just see what the best thing to do is,” Bentley said. “Like I said Tuesday, there’s a lot of stuff still out there that I haven’t accomplished and I feel like our team hasn’t accomplished yet. That’s going to be a big factor in it.

“Definitely going to see every situation, but I’ll definitely just be focused on the (bowl) game.”

Edwards was a little more direct in his answer, saying he hasn’t given the NFL any thought just yet:

“The NFL? No, I haven’t even thought about it,” Edwards said.

He added, “I don’t even know where we’re going yet. I mean…”

As far as potentially sitting out the bowl game, Samuel was very coy about his plans:

“That’s a good question,” he said.

Losing those guys for the bowl game (potentially the Belk Bowl) would be tough for the Gamecocks to overcome.
