MarShawn Lloyd and Luke Doty may receive the majority of the hype when it comes to South Carolina’s 2020 recruiting class but linebacker Mohamed Kaba deserves just as much attention as he’s among the latest All-American Bowl participants to join Will Muschamp’s Gamecock program.

The 6-foot-2, 212-pound Kaba was rated as a four-star prospect and the nation’s No. 13 inside linebacker in the country in the 2020 recruiting cycle.

South Carolina had to beat out several elite programs to sign the North Carolina native, including Clemson and Florida. Unfortunately for Kaba, the high school All-American had his senior season at Clinton High School cut short after suffering an ACL tear but he continues to progress well after enrolling early at South Carolina.

That setback hasn’t stopped Kaba from tackling his rehab with a fury, however, as the video below shows just how far the freshman Gamecock has come in his effort to return to the field.

Kaba shows off the range of motion and the flexibility of his knee in the video below. This is a great sign for the Gamecocks, who could use some help at the linebacker position heading into the 2020 season.

While he may be brought along slowly as he continues to rehab from his tough injury, it likely won’t be long before the Gamecocks unleash Kaba on opposing defenses based on this video.
