New Orleans Saints officially sign former South Carolina DT Taylor Stallworth
South Carolina DT Taylor Stallworth didn’t hear his name called in the 2018 NFL Draft, but he did land a tryout with the New Orleans Saints.
Apparently, he did enough to impress the team in that time, as it was announced on Tuesday that the Saints had signed him.
The news was broken by Sean Fazende, along with the news that the team waived LB Sae Tautu:
Saints waive LB Sae Tautu & officially signed DT Taylor Stallworth. Shayne SKov and Nate Theaker cleared waivers. John Theus is now on reserved/injured, per NFL transactions.

Stallworth started all 13 games for the Gamecocks in 2017, recording 30 tackles — 2.5 of which went for a loss.
He’s a big-time run stuffer, and if he can continue to hold his own on the line of scrimmage in the pros, he has a chance to make the Saints’ roster this fall.
