South Carolina has been hit with injury bug a bit lately and recently dealt with a disappointing 23-10 loss to Missouri, though it did bounce back with a 38-27 win over Vanderbilt in its most recent outing.

Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer recently met with the media, saying to “find some joy” despite some of the unfortunate injury issues the team has been dealing with.

“August of 2021, Luke Doty got hurt and I came into that thing and talked about how it’s not all doom and gloom,” Beamer said in the press conference. “I don’t know, but I’d be willing to bet anything that when a silent or vocal minority of our fan base saw that Marshawn (Lloyd) wasn’t playing tonight, I’m sure it was doom and gloom… we’ve got to get past that.”

Beamer encouraged the fan base to “find some joy” in the midst of unfortunate news like that.

South Carolina will face Florida next on the schedule at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday in The Swamp.
