Kingston has been a head coach since 2009, landing the South Carolina job on June 30, 2017. Under Kingston, the Gamecocks have a 138-109 record over 5 seasons.
In 2022, South Carolina went 27-28 overall, effectively ending its season with a first-round exit from the SEC Tournament, falling 2-1 to Florida in 10 innings. In the 2022 regular season, the Gamecocks went 13-17 in SEC play. With an RPI of 70, South Carolina is not in the 2022 NCAA Tournament picture.
