The 2019 season was full of unexpected results for South Carolina football fans but not all the surprises on the field were bad.
One highlight of the season came when the program’s losing streak against Kentucky was snapped with a dominating 24-7 win in Columbia back on Sept. 28.
Of course, for all Gamecock fans, the true highlight of the season came in Athens on Oct. 12 when South Carolina managed to pull off arguably the biggest upset of the college football season by beating previously undefeated Georgia 20-17 in overtime between the hedges.
If you have forgotten how that game ended, let us refresh your memory. With South Carolina up 20-17 in overtime, Georgia kicker Rodrigo Blankenship lined up for a 42-yard kick. The attempt was pushed and the Bulldogs went down in Athens.
That moment has now been immortalized for one lucky South Carolina fan, as shared by @Gamecock_Kyle on Twitter, who shared the following picture of a Christmas gift with the caption, “I love Santa” attached:
