The 2020 football season may be over but spring football will be here before you know it.

That’s good news in Columbia as Shane Beamer and his Gamecock coaching staff are eager to turn the page on the Will Muschamp era and will have their first opportunity to put their stamp on the South Carolina program starting with their first spring practice.

According to Beamer, South Carolina is hoping to begin spring practice on March 20 with the Garnet & Black Spring Game expected to be held on April 24.

“Spring practice, I’m planning to proceed full speed ahead with spring practice like normal, until someone tells me otherwise,” Beamer said three weeks ago. “All my conversations are we are full speed ahead.

“We are tentatively scheduled to start spring practice on March 20th — is our tentative start date. I’m hopeful we’ll be able to have a spring game and get everybody over to Williams-Brice for that. If so, that would be scheduled for April 24th — tentatively right now. Right now, I do know we are planning on March 20th. Typical starting time.”

Following those comments from South Carolina’s first-year coach, the team has issued its official spring roster for the 2021 season.

Here is the roster shared by the program on Tuesday.
