Shane Beamer is officially extended with a significant bump in pay as South Carolina’s head coach.

Beamer will enter his third season with the Gamecocks on a 5-year deal that runs through the 2027 season. ESPN’s Chris Low shares that Beamer will make $6.125 million in 2023. His salary will increase every year, averaging $6.625 million for $33.125 million over 5 years.

Beamer, 45, sees a bright future for his program after back-to-back bowl trips.

“I am very grateful to President Amiridis, Coach Tanner, (Senior Deputy Athletics Director) Chance Miller and our Board of Trustees for their belief in what we are doing as a football program,” Beamer said via a program release. “I am so fortunate to be the football coach at the University of South Carolina. I’m very proud of what we’ve done the last two seasons, but it’s just the beginning. The best days of Gamecock football are about to happen.”

South Carolina is 15-11 in 2 seasons under Beamer.
